Ninnescah Sailing Association fireworks set for Sept. 4

The Ninnescah Sailing Association will hold its annual Labor Day weekend fireworks show on Sunday, Sept. 4.

The association, which celebrated 50 years in 2015, has marked the end of summer with a fireworks show at Cheney Reservoir since 1995, when floods postponed its Fourth of July celebration until September.

This year’s fireworks show will begin at sundown at the Ninnescah Sailing Association, located on the west shore of Cheney Reservoir. Spectators can watch the fireworks from the water or from the cove in front of the club’s activity center.
