Salon to offer discounted services to benefit YWCA

Eric Fisher Salon West will offer discounted haircuts and other beauty services as part of an annual fundraising event.

The “Empowering Women Haircut-a-thon” will raise money for the Wichita YWCA, which operates the 24-hour emergency Women’s Crisis Center for victims of domestic violence.

Stylists at the Eric Fisher Salon, 2441 N. Maize Road, Suite 113, will offer $10 dry haircuts, $5 brow sculpts and $5 lip waxes on Aug. 2 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The grooming services are first-come, first-serve — no appointment is necessary. Only cash or checks will be accepted – no credit cards – and all proceeds will go to the YWCA.

Event attendees are encouraged to donate items for domestic violence victims. Any donations will be rewarded with 20 percent off the donor’s retail purchase at the salon.
