Officer who danced at cookout says he cares about community
The police officer whose dance moves at a protest-turned-cookout that went viral says the experience has been humbling.
Wichita police Officer Aaron Moses, who posted photos and video during the Sunday cookout on the department’s Twitter account said he didn’t know whether it was his dancing or the story itself that was the reason why video has gone viral.
“Either way, I’m glad it did. It got the message out,” he said. Moses, who grew up in Wichita, says he is passionate and cares about his community.

The cookout was an alternative to a second Black Lives Matter protest, and came about after discussions between Wichita Police Chief Gordon Ramsay and protest leaders.
