Overland Park one of the least stressful cities in the U.S.
Wichitans don’t stress too much about money but stress a lot about work compared with 150 cities around the country, according to a new ranking from WalletHub.
And the residents of Overland Park are some of the least stressed in the nation, according to the ranking of the most and least stressed cities in the United States.
Overall, Wichita ranked near the center of the list at 81.
The ranking factored five overall categories of stress, with 1 being the most stressed city and 150 being the least stressed.
Here’s how Wichita fared in each of the five categories:
▪ Work-related stress rank: 49
▪ Money-related stress rank: 126
▪ Family-related stress rank: 76
▪ Health- and safety-related stress rank: 67
▪ Coping with stress rank: 68
To create the lists, the study looked at average weekly hours worked, job security, credit scores, poverty rates, affordable housing, divorce rates, health, crime, the number of psychologists per capita and hours of sleep each night.

10. San Diego, Calif.
And the top 10 most stressed cities overall:
1. Detroit, Mich.
2. Mobile, Ala.
3. Birmingham, Ala.
4. Memphis, Tenn.
6. Shreveport, La.
7. Columbus, Ga.
8. New Orleans, La.
9. Newark, N.J.
10. Montgomery, Ala.
