Andale man, 21, identified as SUV crash victim
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday gave the name of the driver who died in a one-vehicle crash on 183rd Street West.
The driver has been identified as Cole M. Barbeau, 21, of Andale, the sheriff’s office said.
There is a continuing investigation to determine what caused Barbeau to lose control of the 1987 Chevrolet Blazer, the office said.
He was pinned in the SUV and died at the scene, the office said.
His two male passengers, both 21 and of Colwich, were seriously injured.
It appeared, based on the preliminary investigation, that the Blazer was headed south in the 3900 block of 183rd Street West when it ended up on its top in a ditch, the office said.
