Real Men Real Heroes hosting Community Day, concert
Real Men Real Heroes, a local nonprofit mentoring program, will host a day of entertainment and activities this Saturday to benefit Wichita youths.
Community Day will be at Fairmount Park, 1647 N. Yale, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The block party, which is free and open to the public, will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including music, food and giveaways.
The Fairmount Park festivities will be followed by a benefit concert at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Doors for the concert, which will include performances by comedian Ron G., Roy Moye III and the Dazz Band featuring Jerry Bell, will open at 5:30 p.m., with the show scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets range from $35 to $65 and can be purchased through selectaseat.com.
Proceeds from the concert will go toward a new bus for Real Men Real Heroes.
