Riverside Fourth of July: as American as pancakes and a parade

Visions of red, white and blue will soon overtake the nation, and Central Riverside Park in Wichita will not be spared.

Events for the Riverside Citizens Association’s annual Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast and Children’s Parade will kick off at 7 a.m. on July 4 at the Pagoda Building in Central Riverside Park.

Breakfast by Chris Cakes will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. and will cost $8 for adults and $5 for ages 10 and under.

Parade registration will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The parade begins at 10 a.m., and participants can walk or ride their bicycles or tricycles. Parade prizes will be drawn at 10:45 a.m.
