Wichita nonprofit seeks donations for woman’s heart transplant

Two fundraisers, a yard sale and Linercise event, will be held in June to benefit the Midwest/West Heart Transplant Fund supporting Wichita resident Danecia Williams, according to a news release.

In 2009, Williams, 30, was diagnosed with peripartum cardiomyopathy. She is now on the heart transplant list.

Williams and her family have partnered with the nonprofit organization HelpHOPELive, which is administering the fundraisers. Proceeds will be donated to the organization to assist Williams with transplant-related expenses.

The yard sale will be June 16-18 beginning at 7 a.m. each day at Wheels Studio, 1338 Sand Plum Lane in Wichita. Women’s clothing and household items will be for sale.

The Linercise event will be held June 17 at 6:30 p.m. at 501 S. St. Francis in Wichita. The minimum donation is $10.
