Cargo plane makes unscheduled landing at Eisenhower airport
A FedEx plane made an unscheduled landing early Tuesday afternoon at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport after the pilot reported a mechanical issue.
The Airbus 300 was en route from Oakland, Calif., to Newark, N.J., when the plane sustained “hydraulic issues,” said Valerie Wise, a spokeswoman for the airport. There were two people aboard the plane.
The plane was able to make a safe landing at 1:02 p.m. at Eisenhower, Wise said.
