The boil-water advisory for Park City has been lifted.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment issued a news release Wednesday afternoon saying recent water samples collected from the Park City public water supply indicated no evidence of contamination and that all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination have been resolved.
The city’s water woes began Monday when a contractor hit a city water pipe. City administrator Jack Whitson said the burst pipe caused water to gush 20 to 30 feet high at times.
State health officials issued a boil-water advisory for Park City while crews worked Tuesday to fix the leak.
