Park City working to repair leak after shutting down water service
Park City officials were working frantically late Monday night to fix a leak in the city’s water system.
The leak was reported shortly after 8 p.m., according to Park City Administrator Jack Whitson.
“We can’t seem to get it shut down and are having to shut down the water to the whole town,” Whitson said.
As soon as the water pressure subsides, workers can work on the water system.
“We are trying to put a clamp in with water shooting 30 feet in the air,” Whitson said. “But we are trying to find the culprit.”
City officials said Tuesday morning on Twitter that service should be restored to Park City residents around noon. Mayor Ray Mann posted several photos of the work on Twitter, too.
