Man critically stabbed near Broadway and Pawnee

Police are investigating a Sunday stabbing of a man in south Wichita.

The man was stabbed in the face in the 2200 block of South Main, according to a Sedgwick County 911 dispatcher. That’s near Broadway and Pawnee.

The incident happened at 11:47 a.m. Sunday, the dispatcher said.

The man was taken in critical condition to Wesley Medical Center’s emergency room, the dispatcher said.

The stabbing occurred north of the Patrol South police bureau at 211 E. Pawnee.
