A man was seriously injured when he lost control of his motorcycle in west Wichita on Sunday night, authorities said.
Christopher Egbert, 53, was exiting westbound Kellogg when he lost control of his motorcycle on the ramp to northbound I-235 shortly after 8:45 p.m. Sunday, according the the Kansas Highway Patrol. Egbert laid down his 2007 Harley Davidson and was thrown from it.
A 2006 Volvo semi driving north in the right lane of northbound I-235 struck the motorcycle with its fourth axle, the highway patrol reported.
Egbert was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis, where he was in serious condition on Monday morning.
