Police identify man killed in Saturday night crash near I-235, Seneca
Wichita police on Monday identified the man who died after crashing his car into a drainage ditch over the weekend.
Steven Grow, 40, was driving east on Carey Lane shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday when he ran a stop sign, crossed Seneca and hit a curb, Wichita police Lt. James Espinoza said. His 2012 Honda Accord flipped over and landed upside down in a drainage culvert just south of I-235.
Grow was taken to a hospital, where he died at 1:41 a.m. Sunday.
“We do believe speed is part of the cause for the accident,” Espinoza said.
The crash remains under investigation.
