Cards for the Cure fundraising poker tournament will be Jan. 29-30

Cards for the Cure, an annual poker tournament event, is planned for Jan. 29-30.

Proceeds from the event, which includes a ladies-only tournament, will to go to the Susan G. Komen Kansas affiliate.

The weekend includes four different events: a high-roller tournament, a VIP party, the ladies-only tournament and a championship tournament. All events will take place at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.

This is the sixth year for Cards for the Cure and the third year for the ladies-only tournament, according to event director and creator Spike Anderson.
