Mike Burrus, head of Wichita Catholic Charities, retiring
Mike Burrus, executive director of Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Wichita, announced his retirement Wednesday morning in a news release.
Burrus, 60, who has served as director for 2 1/2 years, will officially step down April 1 to spend more time with his family, according to the release.
Before his appointment as director of Catholic Charities, Burrus spent 12 years as president of Kapaun Mount Carmel Catholic High School.
There is no announcement on who the new director will be, but a search committee to find Burrus’ replacement has been formed, according to the news release.
