Chase ends with driver dead in Sumner County
The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Sunday morning pursuit of a vehicle that left the driver dead. The chase began in Sedgwick County and ended in Sumner County.
The pursuit involved Sedgwick County sheriff’s officers, the Kansas Highway Patrol and Sumner County officers.
Sumner County Sheriff Darren Chambers said Sunday that more information will be released Monday morning.
“My staff worked the scene. It involved Sedgwick County and Highway Patrol. I haven’t been able to notify family,” the sheriff said.
