Pedestrian killed when hit by SUV in Tonganoxie
A pedestrian died Friday after he was hit by an SUV on northbound Highway 16 in Tonganoxie, west of Kansas City, the Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report.
Clinton Beach, 28, of Tonganoxie, was in the roadway just north of Haigwood Road when he was struck by a 1996 Ford Explorer shortly before 7:30 p.m., the report said. He died at the scene.
The 53-year-old Meriden woman driving the SUV was not hurt, the report said.
