The Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County has received a $1.2 million donation to help renovate the former Lincoln Elementary School into its new home.

The donation is from the Dwane L. and Velma Lunt Wallace Charitable Foundation. The renovated school will house eight community agencies and about 60 employees, working together to assist children who have experienced abuse.

Organizers are in the final phase of a campaign to raise $7 million for the renovation, which is underway and is expected to be completed next summer.
