Report of suspicious package closes Wichita City Hall parking garage
The Wichita City Hall parking garage was closed for about two hours Tuesday afternoon after a suspicious package was reported.
The package was reported to authorities at about 11:50 a.m., police Lt. James Espinoza said. The garage and Central Avenue to the north were closed to traffic while police removed the package.
Nothing that posed a physical threat was found in the package, Espinoza said. The investigation is continuing.
Both Central and the parking garage reopened shortly before 2 p.m.
