Eagle’s digital editions introduce new design

Welcome to the new look of Kansas.com. The improvements to our digital edition are designed to give our desktop and mobile sites a cleaner look and load your pages faster.

The new design adds highlights atop most stories, helping you scan news quickly if you don’t have time for a deeper dive.

You may also notice that Kansas.com features new typography for headlines and article text, also aimed at improving readability.

We’re making some important content improvements, too. We’ve added an “In Depth” section that brings you deeper reading and analysis, going behind the news to explain the whys and hows. Our staff is also bringing you more video to enhance news coverage, and the new design will feature that video more prominently.

We’ve also added a large new slate of games and puzzles to our website, and we hope you’ll check them out at games.kansas.com.

These improvements come after months of work across our parent company, McClatchy, to better understand changes in the way readers find and use news and information today.

We’ve introduced a new design and organization in our print edition also, and we invite you to pick up a copy if you aren’t a home-delivery customer already. You can also bookmark our e-Eagle edition to read a digital format of the printed newspaper.

We welcome your feedback on the new look of our site and hope you’ll take a minute to share your thoughts with us.

Thank you for reading Kansas.com and The Wichita Eagle.
