Boy, 5, expected to go home today after being struck in Mulvane parking lot
A 5-year-old boy is expected to be released from a Wichita hospital on Wednesday, a day after being hit by a truck in a Mulvane store’s parking lot, authorities said.
The boy was struck at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of a Dillons store at 1203 N. Second in Mulvane, a Mulvane Police Department employee said. That’s near K-15 and Rock Road.
He was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis in Wichita, where he was held overnight for observation. Police told media at the scene that the boy darted out into the parking lot.
