Exploration Place gingerbread event makes for one sweet house party
The annual Gingerbread Village, an event that provides families with the tools needed for building gingerbread houses, continues from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Exploration Place, 300 N. McLean Blvd. It is a fundraiser for the Assistance League and invites visitors to look at intricately decorated gingerbread houses; to make their own using graham crackers, frosting glue and gumdrop decor; and to stay to check out the Exploration Place exhibits. Tickets are $5 for Exploration Place members, $9.50 for ages 12 to 64, $8 for seniors 65 or older, $6 for ages 3 to 11 and free for ages 2 or younger.
