Flint Hills Discovery Center to host educator open house

The Flint Hills Discovery Center is hosting an educator open house from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday.

The center, 315 S. Third St. in Manhattan, is offering to help teachers gain resources in teaching their curricula. Those attending the event, which is free to all educators with a valid ID, will be able to learn science and history teaching strategies and attend one of two onsite example education programs. Informational packets will be provided, including the Flint Hills Discovery Center’s onsite programs, outreach programs, upcoming exhibitions and self-guided activities.
