Symphony in the Flint Hills to return to Chase County for 10th anniversary
The Symphony in the Flint Hills will mark its 10th anniversary in 2015 by returning to the place where the first concert was held — the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Chase County, it was announced Wednesday at the preserve.
The concert featuring the Kansas City Symphony will be June 13.
The 2014 concert took place the nearest to Wichita it had ever been — the Rosalia Ranch in Butler County.
Next year’s event will partner with the Nature Conservancy for education programming in addition to the concert.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 7 at kcsymphony.org or by phone at 816-471-0400. They will be $90 for adults and $50 for children under 12.
More event information is on the website symphonyintheflinthills.org.
