Firewood and mulch from trees trimmed by Westar Energy and the city of Wichita will be available for free at the Sedgwick County Zoo through February.
The public can pick up the free firewood and mulch from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily in the north parking lot of the zoo, a news release said. Wood typically is delivered between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Chainsaws, wood splitters and mechanical equipment are not allowed at the site.
