The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office collected more than 1,360 pounds of expired and unused medications on Saturday during the National Take Back Initiative.
The initiative offers Sedgwick County residents a chance to dispose of their unused and unwanted medications in a free and safe way at specified locations across the county to protect from accidental poisoning and safeguard the environment.
The Sheriff’s Office co-sponsored the event in cooperation along with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
