Spiritual concert, vineyard tours on tap for Youth Horizons fundraiser

Vintner Dan Stockemer will be opening his winery and vineyard north of Wichita for a concert fundraiser Sept. 26 to benefit Youth Horizons, a residential care-home program for troubled and at-risk youth.

The “Concert in the Vineyard” event will feature storytelling and traditional spiritual music by the group “Arise” and a performance by Youth Horizons co-founder and music evangelist Earnest Alexander. Television personality Sierra Scott will serve as master of ceremonies.

The event will begin with tours of Stockemer’s Prairie Hill Vineyard and a silent auction at 5 p.m. The vineyard is at 21421 W. 37th St. North. Admission is a free-will contribution to Youth Horizons.

Proceeds will benefit Youth Horizons’ Kinioch Price Boys Ranch, an 80-acre facility north of Wichita offering guidance, education and a stable faith-based residential environment for boys and young men ages 10 to 22.

The ranch is undergoing construction to expand to four group homes serving 28 boys.
