An autopsy was conducted Monday to determine the cause of death for a man found in water under a bridge in the Planeview neighborhood of south Wichita on Friday, Wichita police said.
A passerby was walking across a bridge arching over a drainage overflow ditch about 3 p.m. Friday and noticed the body lying on rocks in shallow water below. The bridge is to the east of Roosevelt, north of Ross Parkway.
The body is of a black male who appeared to be in his 20s, police have said.
Foul play is not suspected, Capt. Troy Livingston said, but investigators are still waiting to see what the autopsy reveals before closing the case.
