Hutchinson man, 29, killed in work accident
A 29-year-old Hutchinson man died Thursday after he was struck by machinery used to load metal into train cars, the Hutchinson Police Department said in a news release.
Joshua Tacy’s death is being investigated as an industrial accident, police said.
Tacy, an employee of Midwest Iron and Metal, was taken by ambulance to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with trauma injuries sustained at 3000 E. Avenue G in Hutchinson, police said. Midwest Iron and Metal is a recycling company, according to its website.
Police were notified about 2:30 p.m. Thursday that Tacy had died, police said. Further details were not released.
