Monday blood drive honoring injured Derby woman still needs donors (+video)
There are still spots available to sign up to donate blood in honor of Julie Dombo on Labor Day, according to a news release from the American Red Cross.
The Red Cross is hosting the blood drive from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday in honor of Dombo, who was critically injured after being shot twice during the robbery of a Derby AT&T store last month.
Donors must make an appointment to participate in the blood drive. Information about signing up can be found at www.redcrossblood.org. Search using the sponsor code “Haysville.”
There will be a card on-site for donors to sign that will be given to Dombo.
If people cannot attend the blood drive on Monday but want to donate in honor of Dombo, they can go to the Wichita Blood Donation Center, 707 N. Main, from Tuesday through Saturday. Another card will be made available there.
