Woman, 64, dies in Linn County crash
A 64-year-old woman was killed early Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Linn County.
Charlene Jo Conner of Blue Mound was driving a 2007 Ford Escape north on County Road 1077 about 3 1/2 miles south of Centerville when the vehicle left the road for an unknown reason around 1:45 p.m., the Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report. The Escape then crossed a small creek, struck several small trees and three fence posts before slamming into a large tree, the report said.
Centerville is about 155 miles east and slightly north of Wichita.
