Hutchinson man, 24, killed in K-96 crash
The man killed Friday night in a traffic accident on K-96 has been identified as 24-year-old Tanner Anthony Flores of Hutchinson.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Flores was driving a 2002 Lincoln passenger car when it veered off the right side of the highway at 9:52 p.m. Flores was three miles east of Mount Hope at the time.
The car struck a tree. The highway patrol said it’s unclear why the vehicle left the road.
Authorities found Flores unresponsive and tried to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene about 40 minutes after the crash, highway patrol dispatchers said late Friday.
