Arson is being blamed for a fire that damaged a building on Broadway just south of Kellogg early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The fire was reported at about 2 a.m. in the 900 block of South Broadway, in the now-empty Kansas Auto Group building. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly and no injuries were reported, a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said.

The fire caused about $10,000 in damage to the exterior of the building, Wichita fire Capt. Kelly Zane said. No suspects have been identified in the case yet.
