Church tent meetings to open discussions on race, faith
During the week of Sept 6-13, several Wichita churches are scheduled to host a series of nightly old-fashioned, open-air tent meetings to help start race, faith and denominational discussions.
Davy Boggs, a minister who began in Park City, is credited for scheduling the meetings beginning at 7:30 each night at the southwest corner of Lincoln and Hydraulic, across from the QuikTrip.
Called “City Reach Wichita,” the meetings will be hosted by First Church of God in Christ, Bethany Revival Center, New Horizon Holiness Church, South City Baptist Church and Boggs Family Ministries.
