Victims in Saturday shooting not cooperating with police
Two men were shot Saturday morning, but Wichita police don’t know what prompted the shooting because the victims are not cooperating.
Sgt. Brian Sigman said officers were called to Welsey Medical Center at 4:20 a.m. Saturday, after a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were dropped off at the hospital with gunshot wounds.
One man suffered a gunshot wound to the groin and the other to the left thigh.
“Both of these victims were uncooperative with the officers, and would not tell them how it happened or where it happened,” Sigman said.
“As of right now we have no suspects or no location as to where this occurred,” he said.
Sigman said both victims are expected to recover.
“It was not a critical injury on either one of them,” he said.
Sigman said officers don’t know the identity of a third person, the driver of a car that brought the victims to Wesley.
