Injury crash near Goddard leaves pesticides mess, sheriff office says

A crash near Goddard on Friday left at least one person injured, according to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.

In a social media post, the sheriff’s office said emergency responders were on the scene early Friday afternoon after a critical injury crash that involved a truck carrying pesticides.

The crash happened near 215th Street and 4th Street, just northwest of Goddard. It involved the pesticides truck and a passenger vehicle, the post said.

Along with sheriff’s office and hazardous materials personnel, Sedgwick County Fire District 1 also responded.

The area around the crash was expected to remain closed Friday afternoon while cleanup crews worked.
