A man in his 20s is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon on Webb Road just north of Central.

Wichita police Lt. Walker Andrews said the man was traveling in the left inside lane and did not notice a sedan that was stopped waiting to turn left into Minneha Core Knowledge Elementary School shortly before 4 p.m.

The motorcycle rear-ended the sedan and its rider was ejected, landing near the front of the vehicle, Andrews said.

Sedgwick County emergency dispatchers said the man was transported to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition.

Wichita police temporarily blocked off the northbound lanes of Webb at Central while crews were working the crash. By 5:30 p.m., at least one lane was open and traffic was flowing in both directions.
