A 60-year-old man from Mount Hope died Tuesday evening after being ejected in a rollover crash in the northwest part of Sedgwick County.

Deputies with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the one-vehicle accident, which happened north of Goddard and Garden Plain near the intersection of 21st and 247th, a press release from the agency said. The crash was reported to emergency services via an iPhone crash detection notification at 8:38 p.m.

First responders found a crashed gray Chevrolet Trax and 60-year-old driver Stephen Bradley Farmer of Mount Hope. He died at the scene.

Investigators think Farmer was westbound on 21st Street North when his Chevy left the road. The vehicle struck a field entrance before rolling several times. Farmer was ejected.

The Sheriff’s office said it does not think impairment was a factor in the crash.
