The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a 30-year-old man who is missing and may be at risk.

A news release from the sheriff’s office stated that surveillance video shows Ian Alexander Shelton southwest of Wichita at Lake Afton at 2:12 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3. That was the last he was seen.

The evening before, according to a previous news release, Shelton was seen leaving the Let’s Roll Seneca bowling alley at 1909 S. Seneca in a white 2012 Mazda Miata. The Miata has since been found, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

Shelton is white, 30 years old, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 165 pounds. In the video, the sheriff’s office said, Shelton is seen wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, a black T-shirt with a white image on the front, blue jeans and white Nike shoes.

“Investigators believe Shelton may be at risk and are actively working to find him,” the initial news release read.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who has seen Shelton or knows where he might be to call 911 or contact the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at 316-660-5300.

“Anyone who may have seen Shelton or the white Mazda Miata after 2:12 a.m. on Dec. 3, particularly in or around the Lake Afton area, is urged to contact detectives immediately,” the second news release read.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Wichita-Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111 or through the P3 app.
