Meet the crochet artist who brightened downtown Wichita during Open Streets ICT
Editor’s note: Welcome to an occasional mini-documentary series called ICT in 70. The Eagle’s visuals editor Jaime Green is highlighting “fun, quirky things happening in our area” through 70-second videos.
This week, we meet:
Crochet artist Tamara Gonzales, who used more than 20,000 yards of yarn and spent countless hours crocheting clothing for the statues along Douglas in downtown Wichita.
She recently displayed her work on Sunday, Sept. 28 during Open Streets ICT. This marks the third time she’s decorated Douglas in this way.
