A fire started at Spirit AeroSystems early Tuesday at one of the company’s buildings was hit by lightning, a company spokesperson said.
“We immediately evacuated that building. No injuries. Very little damage. The fire was put out quickly and operations have resumed,” spokesperson Joe Buccino said at around 9:30 a.m.
He said there were about 30 people in the building when the fire started on the exterior of one of the company’s buildings.
