Two motorists were critically injured when a motorcycle collided with a Jeep in southeast Wichita on Thursday evening.

Police and medical services were called just after 6 p.m. A motorcycle eastbound on Pawnee collided with the westbound Jeep as it turned south onto George Washington Boulevard.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital with critical injuries, Wichita police Sgt. Jason Bryant said. He noted the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet or protective equipment.

“We encourage anybody driving a motorcycle to wear your protective equipment,” Bryant said. “It might save you from being hurt terribly.”
