Four toddlers and an infant were among those in a crash that sent an SUV and a minivan into the canal along I-135 Monday afternoon, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The children were not seriously injured.

A 26-year-old Wichita man is the only person involved in the crash who is suspected to have a serious injury, according to KHP. Nine people total were in the vehicles.

The KHP’s crash log says that a Subaru Forester changed lanes into a Honda Odyssey. The Honda struck the barrier and rolled into the canal. The Forester then went into the canal but did not roll.

The occupants of one vehicle were taken to Wesley Medical Center. The occupants of the other were taken to Via Christi St. Francis. Both drivers and all seven passengers were wearing restraints at the time of the crash.
