This north Wichita highway ramp is closing for months. Here are details
A north Wichita highway ramp will close Tuesday and will remain closed until early winter.
The Kansas Department of Transportation will close the westbound K-96 ramp to Hydraulic Avenue in north Wichita.
Workers will install a temporary concrete safety barrier and complete striping.
“This will let progress continue on the new westbound K-96 North Junction work as it moves into new phases,” KDOT said in a news release. “During the closure, access from westbound K-96 to the Hydraulic Avenue off-ramp will be blocked. This work is part of phase 2B of the ongoing North Junction Gold Project.”
