Traffic alert: Three Wichita highway ramps will close Wednesday for work

Three busy highway ramps in Wichita will be closed Wednesday for sign work or the moving of a crane.

The eastbound U.S. 54 off-ramp to northbound/southbound I-135 is expected to close at 9 a.m. and reopen by 3 p.m., a news release from the Kansas Department of Transportation said.

The Washington Avenue on-ramp to eastbound U.S. 54 also will close at 9 a.m. KDOT did not say when this ramp would reopen.

Both are part of an ongoing sign project.

Lastly, the westbound K-96 ramp to North Hydraulic Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crane movement.

Additionally, the right lane on eastbound Kellogg from Washington Avenue to Webb Road will be closed Wednesday for sign work, according to KDOT.
