A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a clash on Millwood early Wednesday morning, police said.
Officers were sent to Via Christi Hospital-St. Joseph shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday after a 22-year-old man showed up with “several severe stab wounds,” Lt. James Espinoza said. The man had been cut on the right side of his face, his right shoulder and his left wrist.
He told officers he had been in an argument with his roommate, who assaulted him at a house on South Millwood, Espinoza said. Officers went to the address in the 600 block of South Millwood, just north of Kellogg near Seneca, and interviewed the victim’s roommate as well as several witnesses.
Officers found two beer bottles that had been broken on the ends, Espinoza said. The roommate has been jailed on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder.
Investigators still aren’t sure what the argument was about, Espinoza said. The victim’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening, he said.
