Bob Dylan brings his Rough and Rowdy Ways to Wichita - plus more to do this weekend

Part of his life was depicted in the Oscar-nominated movie “A Complete Unknown” starring Timothee Chalemet. Now, the man himself — Bob Dylan — is on tour and will stop at Wichita’s Century II on Saturday.

And that’s just one of the fun events happening in Wichita this weekend. Those in search of fun also can take in a pair of 1980s rock concerts or spend the night with their kids and a bunch of sharks in a museum.

Here’s a look at some of this weekend’s best entertainment bets:

Bob Dylan in concert

8 p.m. Saturday, Century II Concert Hall, 225 W. Douglas

Legendary musician Bob Dylan will bring his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour to Wichita’s Century II at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Dylan, 83, has been performing for nearly 50 years, and his hits catalog includes songs such as “Mr. Tambourine Man,” “The Times They Are a-Changin’” and “Like a Rolling Stone.” No tickets were available earlier this week, but some still could open up before Saturday. Harlem Globetrotters

3 p.m. Sunday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

The Harlem Globetrotters visit Wichita every year, and they’ll return on Sunday for a show at Intrust Bank Arena. The show will feature basketball superstars showing off their skills and going head-to-head for a game that will feature dunks, four-point shots and other feats of athleticism. The event starts at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 to $110 and fans also can add on extras like a pre-show event for $30 or a celebrity court pass for $100. Return of Paranormal Cirque

Friday-Monday, parking lot at Towne East Square, 7700 E. Kellogg

The big black-and-white tent is going back up in the parking lot of Towne East Square for another installment of Paranormal Cirque. It’s a traveling circus for a more mature crowd that describes itself as “a unique creation of combined theatre, circus, and cabaret with a new European style flare.” Shows happen at 7:30 p.m. today; 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday; 5:30 and 8:30 Sunday; and 7:30 p.m. Monday Attendees must be at least 18 with a photo ID. Two nights of ’80s rock

8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, The Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg

Fans of 1980s rock can spend their whole weekend at The Cotillion, which will have concerts in that genre Friday and Saturday nights. The Friday show, which starts at 8 p.m., will feature headliners Warrant (“Heaven,” “Cherry Pie”) with opening acts Bullet Boys and Stretch. Tickets are $39.50 to $95. Then, on Saturday, former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley will take the stage. His show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $29.50 to $79.50. Get tickets for both shows at thecotillion.com

Country music Saturday

7 p.m. Saturday, Wichita Union Stockyards, 6521 W. MacArthur Road

Ned LeDoux will be the featured performer on Saturday at the Wichita Union Stockyards. LeDoux is a country music singer and songwriter whose songs include “Brother Highway” and ”Some People Do.” The opening act will be Brody Saner. “Swan Lake”

7 p.m. Sunday, Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway

A troupe of Ukrainian ballet dancers will be in Wichita on Sunday to perform the famous ballet “Swan Lake,” which features a score by Tchaikovsky, at Wichita’s Orpheum Theatre. The State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine ‘s performance starts at 7 p.m. and will have two acts with an intermission. Sharks in the Dark

6 p.m. Friday-8 a.m. Saturday, Exploration Place, 300 N. McLean

Kids and parents still have a couple of chances left to spend the night amid the sharks that are part of Exploration Place’s latest traveling exhibit. The museum will be putting on a “Sharks in the Dark” sleepover in the exhibit on Friday that will include a scavenger hunt, an obstacle course, crafts, dinner, snacks and breakfast. One more sleepover will happen on April 11. It runs from 6 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. on Saturday and is appropriate for ages 5 and over. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
