Man dies after veering off road and crashing into garage of northwest Wichita home
A 56-year-old man died Saturday after crashing his vehicle into the garage of a northwest Wichita home.
The man’s identity has not been released.
Wichita police and fire department were called at 7:47 a.m. to a building collapse call at 4411 W. Westport. Officers learned the man was southbound on Westdale Drive when he left the roadway and struck the garage of the home, Wichita police spokesperson Aaron Moses said Sunday.
It appears the man may have suffered a medical emergency before the crash, police said. Lifesaving measures were given, but the man died at the scene, Moses added.
