A body that was found floating in the Little Arkansas River last week has been identified as a missing Wichita man.

On Monday, police identified Christopher Zembilman, Wichita police spokesperson Bradly Wright said.

Police responded at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to a submersion call in the Little Arkansas River in the 500 block of North Nims Avenue near the Murdock Bridge. Several people reported seeing the body floating in the river.

Zimbelman had been reported missing and was last seen on the afternoon of Feb. 7 near the intersection of Douglas and Meridian in west Wichita, according to Missing People of America.

Zimbelman’s cause of death is unknown, but police say foul play is not involved.
